Nature's Notebook (1).png

Hi! I'm Kabir. I've been very passionate about enviornment, sustainability and animal protection since a very young age, and have been exploring various fields like water conservation, animal care, biodiversity restoration. Through various projects that I worked on under the guidance of NGOs like GuruJal, I found that small acts can create a big change. So, I wanted to create Nature's Notebook, your go-to platform for eco-friendly living tips and environmental insights, and the power of small actions in your everday life in creating a big impact.

Water Conservation Campaign at HIXS & Aerators Distribution at Nirvana Country

With guidance from the GuruJal team, I brought the solution of tap aerators to my school HIXS, and demonstrated the problem of water wastage through a water audit. I also conducted sessions in Nirvana Country, to spread awareness about the issue, and promote simple solutions that each of us can implement in everyday life. Read more about it in my article about water conservation: "Your Daily Drop."

The nest Annual Tree Plantations (2018-present)

As part of the nest developers' corporate social responsibility, we plant 100 trees for every home we make, in plantation drives each year. I helped organize the 2023 plantation in my school's field and parking area.  We have conducted plantations in various areas such as Damdama, HIXS, The Close North, and different parts of the Aravalli range. We feel that, we must do our bit and contribute as much as we can to eco-restoration, and give back to nature for all the resources we use. In 2024, we planted at an eco-school called "Forest Spirit Learning," built entirely with sustainable materials, and environmental learning spaces for children, under the guidance of the founder, Ms. Jyoti Raghavan, an eco-warrior.

I presented the exhibition containing the herbarium of native species from the Aravallis. I also got a chance to attend enlightening sessions with expert panels, catalyzing action towards building more sustainable and equitable futures.

Volunteering at Raahgiri Cycling Sunday- Connaught Place 27th July

The Raahgiri Foundation hosted their weekly Sundays on Cycle at Connaught Place, Delhi, in celebration of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The GuruJal team had set up a stall with different environmental activites, like board games on saving water, and seed bombs creation, to engage visitors of all ages and to share simple ways in how each of us can increase the forest cover of our state. We shared this skill with multiple people who witnessed the event. We made more than 20 seed bombs and even distributed them, fostering hands-on work and promoting eco-restoration through innovative means. Read more
